Paws Across Pittsburgh is a non-profit foster-based animal rescue that works to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home homeless, abused and unwanted dogs and cats. Together with our volunteers and foster parents, PAP has helped thousands of animals find a new life in their forever homes.
Founded in 2016, Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based rescue that has placed over 5,000 dogs and cats in loving homes. Along with adoption, we run community programs like spay/neuter assistance, pet food pantries, and temporary fostering. Our work is funded by supporters — your donations directly save lives.

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pittsburgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.
We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.
Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals.
Our board members are Jackie Armour, Yvonne Ross, Sarah Medina, Erin O'Toole, Jackie Abel-Stavropoulos, Christy Sabatini and Colleen Radebach.
